Almostgotit has a great posting up on Playing to Win. She notes that the workforce is a tough place to be these days and asks:
"How should a person navigate these ever-deepening waters? At the risk of adding to the flood, Almostgotit would like to propose that:
- Even the best advice is only as good as it is also useful, and
- If anyone’s advice fails to work for you, even if it comes from experts, you should throw it out."
Well said! Check out the rest of the posting here.
Great and "real" comments on who to listen to in pursuit of career fullfillment.

I totally agree that you must aspire to only follow what works for you personally. The best leaders aren’t born with all their leadership traits present, but through effective training and practice they develop skills over time. It starts with having a plan and the proper program to make the best leadership traits part of your character.
You can read more about making wise choices for what works in my article Leadership Training Program – Making a Wise Choice here: http://leaderskillstraining.com//categories_leadership_vs_management_article.htm
Thanks.

Unfortunately people tend to chuck out good advice without road testing it. If an expert offers their opinion it is always worth a shot. Lots of advice is 'counter intuitive' because we base most of our opinions on what we would like to believe rather than what is true. This is especially true for job hunting. if you feel down or depressed you are unlikely to follow good advice if it means making lots of effort to network because that's the last thing you feel like doing. And sometimes the stuff we least like to do is the stuff we need to tend to. We procrastinate because we don't want to face uncomfortable truths that in the long term may be good for you. trust others inspiration i say!

I agree sometimes you just have to listen to yourself and your instinct. I certainly wouldn’t be here today as a Career Coach if I hadn’t listened to my inner voice!
I believe if Love Your Job and you will never have to really work another day in your life!
Life really is too short to be spending so much of your time doing something you don’t really enjoy doing..
I think there is a job or career out there for everyone to love if they only searched or could see it.
Some might already be in it and want to progress to the next level or new business venture or you are wondering will you ever find your ideal career and purpose in life…?
My 3 TIPS ARE:
1/ Understand yourself and who you are for if you don’t truly know yourself then you won’t know what you want to do or what your true talents and skills really are!
2/ Rid yourself of any distractions or self limiting beliefs and behaviours that you are currently doing that hold you back.
3/ Download the 7 Secrets To Your Ideal Career Path here to take your first step today to help you with your career and/or part or full time coaching career!
