A while back I posted some random suggestions for summer business casual wear. The MSN Careers website recently posted a more detailed listing of dos and don'ts in 10 Faux Pas of Summer Work Fashion. Rachel Zupek neatly summarizes her advice with:
"While you don't have to cling to your winter wardrobe during summer, choose your wardrobe carefully. Consider the industry and the environment in which you work. Pay attention to any unwritten laws. Do you have regular contact with clients? What image do you want to portray?" (emphasis added)
What are the worst summer fashion faux pas you have seen in the work place? What is your advice for great summer business casual? Leave a comment and let Career Encouragement readers know!
My biggest pet peeve is when people bring out the polo shirts, tuck them into their khakis, and then don't wear a belt. Or they wear a black belt with brown pants, etc.

There is alot of pessimistic views out there having to do with career change and job hunting. I personally believe that an individual needs to keep their interviewing skills high when an opportunity presents itself. I found some good information on interview questions that really takes the edge off when your time has come.
