In one of my classes during my MA program, there was a gentleman who was an immigrant from Russia. He was nearing 70 and was working on his PhD. He was a terrific student and a great person to be in class with and working on projects with. I asked him why he continued to go to school and he said,
"Because I find that the more I learn the less judgmental I am. And the less judgmental I am the happier I am. So I always try to keep learning."
Many times I have thought about his words, and have been inspired to continue learning and growing in my own life. That's one reason I love reading and passing along articles that I think others might find interesting as well.
In that spirit I thought I'd share a great resource with you - The folks at Career Systems International have some great articles about career development on their website. You can download many of them for free. I especially like the articles on career satisfaction.
Happy learning!
